Angela Akins Gracia had a love for sports since she was a young girl and decided to take up golf. When she was a kid she discovered a love for sports, and she decided to start playing golf. As the years passed by her experience grew and she bagged over 8 tournaments as an high school student. During her days as the captain of the Mable Falls high school golf team Garcia was able to lead her team to 3rd position in the 2003 regional event, which they then finished with a sixth-place finish in the 2006 competition. It is no doubt that she is skilled at the game and has claimed over 17 medals to her name at the national level. She she is an active member of the The Women's Golf Association of Texas. Following her graduation from high school Garcia was admitted to Texas Christain University studied there for a few years before moving to The University of Texas. Once she enrolled at Texas Christain, she was exposed to a spirited setting that made it easier for her to improve the skills of a golfer. Angela Akin Garcia, despite her happiness and satisfaction as a professional golfer, has never dreamed of pursuing the career. She instead opted to study journalism. When she finished her degree in journalism, she was hired at Fox Sports Southwest as a journalist.
